글로벌코스메틱연구개발사업단(단장 박장서)은 미국, 영국, 일본과 국내 화장품 전문가들이 연사로 참가해 세계 화장품 개발과 최근 기술 동향(Global Cosmetic Development: Recent Trends in Cosmetic Technology)을 조망해 보는 국제심포지엄을 대한화장품학회와 공동으로 7월19일 동국대 중강당에서 개최한다고 밝혔다.
이번 심포지엄에서는 오가닉 모니터(Organic Monitor)의 아마짓 사호타(Amarjit Sahota) 상무(Managing Director)가 최근 유럽 화장품시장을 둘러싸고 진행되는 핫 이슈인 지속가능성에 대해 발표하고, 미국 UCSF의 월터 홀레란(Walter Holleran) 박사와 일본 도쿄 기술대(Tokyo University of Technology)의 겐지 이모카와(Genji Imokawa) 교수가 화장품 관련 최신 기술들을 소개할 예정이다. 국내 학자들과 산업체의 연구 성과를 발표한다.
박장서 단장은 “한·EU FTA가 발효되는 등 급변하는 화장품 시장 환경에 대응할 수 있는 국제경쟁력 강화 방안을 모색하고자 심포지엄을 기획했다. 국내 화장품산업이 2018년에 G-7 대열에 당당히 진입하는 데에 밑거름이 되기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
